A healthier-feeling home starts with knowing what to notice.
Your home is not just a backdrop. It shapes how you breathe, move, rest, and recover.
I created Healthy Home Day because most of life happens indoors, yet many people are never taught how air, surfaces, humidity, airflow, products, and daily habits shape the way a home feels.
My background brings together 25 years in global business communications and many years teaching yoga and yoga therapy. Both taught me to see systems — one in organizations and technology, the other in the body, breath, rhythm, awareness, and daily practice.
Over time, those worlds came together around the place we live inside every day: the home.
In recent years, I became much more curious about indoor air quality and the everyday conditions that shape a space: airflow, humidity, dust, odors, scent, soft surfaces, ventilation, cleaning routines, and the small habits that repeat over time.
What I found was a fragmented conversation. Plenty of people were talking about products, testing, or cleaning. Fewer were helping people understand the bigger picture: how a home behaves as a system.
Healthy Home Day is practical, education-first, and focused on helping people clear the air at home, one room at a time.
We use the CLEAR Method to make healthy-home awareness easier to act on:
C — Check the room
Notice what feels dusty, damp, stale, scented, stuffy, heavy, or off.
L — Lighten the load
Reduce what the space may be carrying.
E — Encourage airflow
Help air and moisture move when conditions are right.
A — Add support tools
Use practical tools when helpful.
R — Repeat the rhythm
Build small habits that keep the room from rebuilding the same load.
Underneath CLEAR is the Healthy Home Day lens:
Load — what the space may be carrying
Flow — how air and moisture move
Rhythm — the daily habits that shape the space over time
The goal is simple: to help you understand your space more clearly and take one useful next step toward a calmer, cleaner, better-functioning home.
Healthy Home Day is not mold testing, medical advice, remediation, or a formal home inspection. It is education-first healthy-home awareness designed to help you notice what may be shaping your space and choose practical next steps.
Start with one everyday space. Download the free CLEAR Checklist.
